Public Storage, located at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Avenue and Highway 15, just a half-mile south of Interstate 80, offers a variety of cheap self storage options to the Dover community.
This location features indoor units, accessible from an interior corridor, while outdoor drive-up units allow customers to load and unload in seconds. Some units also come with climate-controlled options.
Local residents can use a 5x5 unit as a great place to store seasonal items like boots, jackets and decorations. Just up the street from Dover High School, a 10x10 unit is an easy way for families to eliminate clutter from the garage or basement, while a 10x30 can fit the contents of an entire five-bedroom house during a remodel.
With easy access from Route 15, I-80, Route 10, Route 46 and Route 661, it's a convenient location from any part of town.
Often referred to as a "walking town" for the way in which residents can easily stroll from one part of Dover to the next, Public Storage is happy to help lighten the loads as folks make their way through this wonderful community.

Stopped by for some account info today. Just wanted To give thanks to the desk clerk on duty. I think her name was Terry. Super helpful, courteous, and friendly. I had the information I needed and I was on my way in no time.
Updated Review: 2/6/24 Elevators have been down for the second time in 3 months for extended period of time. Down for 3+ weeks in November, now again for a week in Feb. Time to move on. _______________________________________ I worked with Jim today and he was fantastic. Helped me with all my questions and concerns. Companies need more employees like Jim working for them.
Posted 2/4/24. I'VE HAD ENOUGH. 30% Increases every 6 months, DOWN ELEVATORS for WEEKS at a time. Moving to Extra Storage Space next door (see their rates below). In a 7 month span, I've gone from $81, to $103, to now $131. At this particular location, their elevators were down for 22 days in early Nov. Yes, 22 days. Every other day they expected them to be fixed the next day, then the next, and so on. I understand accidents happen, but not having elevator service for 22 days and\or a 3rd party company\vendor to assist in the moving of items on upper floors is totally unacceptable. My compensation for this was $65 of my $103 per month rent at the time. Fast forward to today 2/4/24, elevators down AGAIN for the 5th straight day, 3 months after the early Nov incident. But they say it should be back up tomorrow, so here we go again as I heard that for 3 weeks last time. Public Storage thanked me with another 20% rate increase email that goes into effect on 3/1. Let me add that the property manager Heather is great. It's the district managers and directors that I hold to a higher standard and should be reviewing these items and doing whatever they can to make their customers happy and compensate correctly to avoid reviews like such. Heather, I would love for you to work for one of my companies one day. Please seek me. My last review reached over 1500 persons since it was written. Upper management, feel free to leave your response to let your customers know what I said above that was not true. I look forward to letting you guys know the day before one of my payments that I have vacated my unit for one of the Extra Storage Spaces located next store. Yes, I understand it's a web \ internet \ intro rate as well. But hey, when there's an increase in 6 months, so would yours. Current Extra Storage Space (next door) rates (as of 2/4): 10x7 - $65 10x8 - $71 10x10 - $83 ___________________________________ Previous Review: Every 6 months this place tries charging 25% more on their rental rates. Yet, I can rent a new unit 50% larger for the same price as my increase. Its essentially a bait and switch, lure you in with a nice rate, then 6 months later your they hit you. I don't know why I stay with Public Storage, need to check out the new Extra Storage Space facility up the block and hope to have better luck. Public Storage Dover should concentrate more on customer retention. Last time I spoke with DM who was very helpful, this time I couldn't even get the office manager to give him a call on my behalf. I understand increases, I don't understand 25% increases after 6 months. SMH.
I met with Heather last weekend and had an excellent experience. Seamless in every way. Heather took the time to ensure that I centered on the right sized unit / secured the lowest rate, and was able to finalize everything very quickly. The facility is very well maintained / easy to navigate. Move in was a breeze. I can not say enough good things about Heather and the facility. If you are in need of storage and this location is ideal for you, do not hesitate.
