02-15-2024DO NOT trust your belongings to the Public Storage facility at 685 Southeast Division Place in Portland, Oregon. They will arbitrarily sell the contents of your unit at auction with no notice and no respect for Oregon laws pertaining to that process. I've had a unit there for years. On October 31st, 2023 my unit was paid in full. On December 21st, 2023 my belongings were sold at auction. I was not given the proper notice required by Oregon state law. I had just been called that very same day reminding me to make my payment, telling me what my balance was, and telling me that if I didn't get it paid, my belongs would be sold at auction on February 15th, 2024. Imagine my surprise when I found out that my belongings had been sold for $30 on December 21st. The representative at the facility was rude and argumentative and unprofessional and just sleazy. It's obvious they have made a mistake, but instead of handling the situation with any kind of grace, this guy starts picking arguments with me. It was terrible timing and he is a terrible example of a customer service representative, in my opinion. Obviously you value your belongings or you wouldn't take the time or expense of storing them, so please, please, please do not trust them to this facility or the company in general.

01-31-2024I'm leaving this place as soon as they can provide trolley carts. It's sad how horrible this place has become in the past year. The front gate was down for over a month so good luck if you needed to move furniture or anything that wouldn't fit through a standard door. The one (out of two) elevators was recently broken for a few months. To add icing to the cake, they increased rent last month. Good luck getting your things in and out of this place, which is a joke considering it's a storage place and that's what you're supposed to be able to do. I was told that they "have new carts ordered" but I'll have to get in there to use one before they are all stolen (again... and again). I can tolerate most inconveniences but at this point I feel they are just taking money without providing the service I'm paying for. If you're still reading, find another storage facility!

01-29-2024Nice storage facility, but the big positive of this location is James! He is so thoughtful, helpful, and kind. You can tell he really cares about his job and making customers feel comfortable and appreciated. This place wouldnt be the same without him!
