Public Storage in West Portland Park is a great place to find affordable self storage space in Southwest Portland with easy access to – and from – Interstate 5 and Highway 99W.
Located on Barbur Boulevard, this facility features a large selection of indoor storage units and climate controlled storage units in several different sizes. There is also the option of outdoor storage units with drive-up access right to the door.
Residents in the Garden Home, Whitford and Crestwood neighborhoods can get over to this facility in no time to grab recreational gear, like bikes, hiking shoes and sports gear, for trips out to Dickinson Park, Holly Farm Park or the Woods Memorial Natural Area nearby.
Folks living in apartments and condos up along Capitol Highway can quickly declutter the living room or master bedroom with the help of a 10x10 storage unit, perfect for holding things like skis, snowboards, kayaks, old TVs and even an extra sofa or mattress.
Tearing down an old home near Arnold Creek and need to empty the whole place out before construction can begin? A 10x30 storage unit offers a large enough storage space to fit everything from inside a five-bedroom home, with plenty of room for large furniture and appliances.
With its proximity to local freeways and highways and sitting approximately six miles from downtown Portland, this West Portland Park Public Storage is a convenient spot to find some much-needed extra storage space, whether for items at home or in the office.
Very quick and friendly
Brenden was a huge help with our moving process!!!
My journey with Public Storage on SW Barbur began on a positive note online, with the allure of clean, spacious storage units conveniently located next to busy street, promising easy access and a semblance of security. The initial rental rate was competitive, and I was assured that this would remain my rate until vacating the unit. This assurance was a pivotal factor in my decision to sign up.However, my experience took a drastic turn for the worse when I received an unexpected email notification, a mere month in advance, informing me of an over 40% increase in my rental rate. This was not only shocking due to the magnitude of the increase but also because I was currently traveling, rendering me unable to vacate or address this change in person.Upon contacting the property manager for clarification, I was met with a cold and unyielding response, indicating that the new rate was non-negotiable and that it is said in the contract, increase can happen (but not 40%). Further research revealed that the rate for new customers was significantly lower than what I was being asked to pay, highlighting a predatory pricing strategy aimed at displacing long-term customers in favor of short-term, promotional-rate seekers. The interaction with both the property manager and the WeCare team agent was particularly disheartening. I was caught in a loop of deflection and run-around, with each party redirecting me to the other, offering no real solutions or empathy for my situation. This lack of accountability and customer support is alarming and speaks volumes about the company's approach to customer relations. Moreover, the initial signup process was fraught with chaos and confusion, including misleading information regarding unit location and billing practices. These issues, coupled with the recent rate hike, paint a picture of a company that prioritizes profit over people, employing unethical sales tactics without regard to the impact on loyal customers. In light of these experiences, I cannot in good conscience recommend Public Storage Company especially the one located in SW Barbur to potential customers. The deceptive practices, lack of transparency, and overall poor customer service are significant red flags. While the physical aspects of the property and the storage units themselves are commendable, they are overshadowed by the company's business ethics and customer treatment. It's a classic case of bait-and-switch, where initial promises are quickly forgotten, leaving customers feeling betrayed and undervalued. While I initially appreciated the cleanliness and spaciousness of my storage unit, the subsequent treatment and unfair practices I encountered have left me deeply disappointed. This experience serves as a reminder to carefully scrutinize the fine print and to remain vigilant against companies that exploit customer loyalty for financial gain.
