01-15-2024Be aware that they raise your rent with escalations Also late fee happy. I have had problems with the auto payments. We are in process of getting our storage moved. Would not recommend.

12-17-2023First off Randy that everyone raves about is no longer there. At this time there is no manager at this location. I dropped my van off on Oct 30, 2023 before heading back to Michigan. Outdoor space number and I put a nice cover on it to keep the weather off. Ray was very accommodating. I made an unexpected trip back down to Bonita Springs Dec 7th for a weekend trip. Went to Public Storage to get my van out to use for the weekend. The cover was laying neatly on the ground next to the drivers side, which was strange since I put it on tight. I put the cover in the back seat. Started my van and proceeded to drive out the gates. I stopped to adjust my side mirrors. I was shocked to see that my drivers side bumper had been damaged. Not only damaged but someone put bondo body filler on it and sanded it down. A very poor repair job. The bumper is also out of alignment. I went inside to get someone. They were shocked as well. They assured me that they would go through the camera footage to see what happened and when. When I went to call Ray they advised me that he was no longer with the company as of a few weeks ago. I was given the name and number of the district manager to see what my next steps were. I called and left a message. Later I found out he was on vacation until the 18th. I had to fly back on the 11th. I left another message the 18th. He called and it did not go well. I thought I was to get instruction of how to move forward. He was very non empathetic and said I should have known what to do. They did find the footage of what happened. However the picture is to dark as the security lights were not working on my side. They also won't give me any information without a police report. I assumed they would be great about this and work with me. Then he hung up on me. I stored my vehicle there assuming it would be safe. I am back in Michigan. I am not able to get my van out of there or file a police report, as I need to be there in person. Merry Christmas to me from Public Storage, The officers said this was actually a first. They couldn't believe it either. Most are assuming it was an employee. What customer is going to damage a vehicle, go get supplies, and use a sander thinking they wouldn't get caught. Beware of the lack of concern if something happens.
