We have been customers at the Public Storage 3204 Northern Blvd, Long Island City, NY, 11101 for many years. Today we met with Carmen, Makayla, and Felix, and they could not have been more helpful! It reminds us of how kind people can be. Thank you guys.
First experience with a storage unit and it was incredibly frustrating, to say the least. I finally moved out yesterday after 5 months. As others have mentioned, it's super easy to sign up online and book your unit. This is probably where the pros end. Now for the cons: - Parking. What a disaster.... the lot is incredibly tiny to begin with, so if there's a moving truck already there, good luck. However, there has been constant construction happening next door, so the parking lot is non-existent. The last few times I've come here, I had to find street parking. When moving my stuff out yesterday, we had to park on Northern Blvd blocking the bike lane cause the construction guys wouldn't let us in to the parking lot, and there was a giant truck already there. - One of the elevators has been down for months so you need to use the one at the far end of the building. - I had a unit on the 6th floor. It's advertised as climate controlled but that's debatable. I went there over the summer and it was HOT. - Prices went up after a few months, to be expected. But when there are no improvements being made along with the inconvenience of no parking and elevators being down for months, this place just is not worth it. Save your money and go to any of the other storage places in the area.
