Nestled in the hamlet of Hicksville, this Public Storage is easily accessible from the nearby Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway to the east and the Long Island Expressway, or as locals like to call it "The LIE," to the north.
The facility has indoor, climate controlled storage units. The 5x5 units are great for families storing away seasonal outdoor recreational gear until the weather permits rounds of golf at Bethpage Park, just a few miles away.
Like at all other company locations, there is free parking and use of moving carts. A password-enabled keypad is used to monitor the storage area, and customers use their own locks on units.
Although this storage facility is located on a commercial street, it's near a quiet, leafy suburban neighborhood. It's also just a short drive to Broadway Street for culinary delights in the area's burgeoning Little India.

03-07-2024Public Storage at 800 S Oyster Bay Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801, where incompetence meets greed. Not only do they change their terms more often than you change your socks, but they also seem to have a knack for inventing fees out of thin air. Imagine my surprise when, despite their supposed rental terms of the 1st to the 10th of the month, I was hit with a late fee of $20 on the 7th day. Apparently, here at Public Storage, rules are just suggestions, and fees are their favorite way of squeezing every last penny out of you. I wouldnt be shocked if they had a dartboard in the back office labeled Random Fees just for fun. So, if youre in the mood to be slapped with unexpected charges and treated like a cash cow, by all means, store your belongings at Public Storage. Otherwise, avoid this place like the plague. Save yourself the headache, the frustration, and the hard-earned cash theyll gladly snatch from your pocket. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere, anywhere but this unprofessional circus of a storage facility.
