02-17-2024DO NOT RENT A UNIT HERE. IT IS HANDS DOWN THE MOST HORRIBLE STORAGE PLACE I'VE EVER RENTED FROM. There are people LIVING in the units. The proximity to Lancaster Ave brings a lot of homeless to that area. I'm not saying I don't feel bad for them. I do. However the solution to that issue is best addressed by someone way smarter than me. My 1st clue that this was not a good place to rent was the whole row on the U were pryed open about 2 - 3 feet when I was driving to my unit. Inside the units are not completely closed at the top. There is room to crawl from unit to unit (with a helper) going through all night helping themselves to whatever they want. Then take it to their unit and walk out with the stuff like it's no problem as they are coming out of their own unit... I moved in there about a year and a half ago when I had to get stuff out of my house to make room for my mom who was terminally ill. After mom passed away, I rented 2 more units there for mom's things. A couple of my friends were dropping some items off for me and one of them shut the door to the unit but didn't put the lock in (they use these little circular locks that go into the hole) while they were in the other unit, someone actually hijacked my unit by putting THEIR lock into my unit!! They were in the other unit 15 minutes. There was no manager on duty that day (which is the case most of the time) so my other friend had to drill the theifs lock out of the hole. I can't help but think the company is very aware of what is going on after closing time but don't care. Speaking of after closing time... these jerks will leave you locked inside the premises if you are not out by 9 pm. They suggest you call the police to get out! That is a drain on public money. Not to mention a waste of officer's time!! Who the eff do they think they are? They seem to feel only their bottom line is of importance. It is illegal to unlawfully lock someone up. I don't care where a person is - you do not have the right to imprison a tenant. Period. Again, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. They suck. Big time.
