STAY AWAY. Completely done -- this is such a predatory company. Loved the previous management. Was given notice of a change in ownership with the need to sign a new contract and an implicit 7.5 percent immediate increase in my rent as it does not now include the insurance the previous rate included. Received an an email today (two weeks after change in ownership) raising the rent of my current unit by a further 25 percent next month. Just tried to call them and there is no direct number anymore, it just forwards you to an ai centric menu with no easy access to customer service. Literally driving over to get a question answered. To sign contracts online or use the app you have to agree to binding arbitration or they will not allow access. I've never had good results with Public Storage, and plan to move out as soon as I can. Oh, the hours of access are shorter now, as well. Very unhappy. :( EDIT - payments online require agreement to a change in terms of vacation (as in leaving) and I am now liable for at least an extra 30 days. Reached out to BBB - had one missed call, as far as I can tell, they reported to the BBB that the call I missed (death in the family) fully counts towards not being able to contact me. No email, etc. BBB closed the complaint, I now have somewhat cheaper storage.
Booooo , Public Storage took over Security Self Storage like a thief in the night . No longer 24 hours a lot of people are moving out . Not sure what other changes are works . But I hope I'm not still there when they do.
