Needed to get 2 storage units for 2ys. 1 indoor unit, 1 outdoor. Both unots were at public storage, but different locations. I got the outside unit here. 1st issue- During my move in, they removed all the numbers on units to do a paint job. Well come to find out, they wanted to charge me for being there past a certian time frame. Even though it took me forever to find my unit cause the numbers were MIA. 2nd issue- The unit had some sort of chemical liquid puddle on the cement. 3rd- The unit i was suppose to have was suppose to be 10 x 15. Tape measurer reads 9' 8" x 12' 8". 4th issue- The unit is blocked andthen there is a small steel wall on top of it. Well there is a gap that literally runs the whole length of the storage unit building. I dont consider myself a small person. About 6' tall, musculer build. I can without effort go from unit to unit to unit. All you need is a 6' ladder. 5th issue - immediately after the 2nd or 3rd month, they upped the price of the unit. I think it was 3rd month. The indoor public storage units have alot of thier own problems as well. Nothing about public storage was good to deal with at hayes location either.
I appreciate these places.
Horrible experience! I find this place to be a total joke. They want to charge top dollar rates but the facility is subpar, at best. There are zero security cameras, most of the lights in the rows don't work properly or are frequently burnt out and I can't tell you how many times we've gone and the gate wasn't working properly! Oh and if you call for a situation like, a gate not closing, you get an answering service - nobody actually picks up. The cement is as bad as Michigan roads and there are a ton of massive potholes and it floods frequently. But the worst part is, they have raised our rates SIGNIFICANTLY twice in a year! I'm talking $40/month each time. Save your money and find another storage facility. This place is a dump.
