05-28-2026Bottom line up front: This company is extremely difficult to work due to unclear and incomplete communication and is not made up of professionals. I attempted to use Extra Space to receive my vehicle after it was shipped across the country. I was assured over the phone that I would not need to be physically present at an ExtraSpace location when my vehicle was dropped off, or in advance in order to accomplish this. That turned out to be false, and this was not explained to us until the vehicle was already in transit and we had left the country, despite the fact that we started this process and signed a contract more than a month prior to the vehicle's departure. Nowhere in said contract was it explained that we would be required to physically visit an ExtraSpace location ourselves in order to have our vehicle dropped off by a third party. This left us scrambling to find a solution and modify the shipping location of our vehicle while it was in transit. Giving 2 stars because we were begrudgingly given a full refund.
