05-03-2026I would strongly advise anyone considering Extra Space Storage to think twice before signing a contract. What initially seems like a reasonable rate quickly turns into a frustrating and costly experience. The company has a pattern of frequent and significant rent increases with little to no justification, making it feel like a bait-and-switch. You move in expecting one price, and before long, youre paying substantially more for the exact same unit. Theres no real stability or transparency, and customers are left feeling trapped, either pay the inflated rate or deal with the hassle of moving your belongings elsewhere. This business model feels deceptive and predatory. Storage should provide peace of mind, not constant anxiety over when the next price hike is coming. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. There are more honest and customer-focused storage companies out there.
