11-19-2025This is a relatively new location for ESS in Irvine, although they have built several more since. It feels relatively safe (although sometimes the gates are broken or there is too long of a delay until they shut behind you) but it's very clear that there are some unhoused persons living out of the spaces. Sure, they disappear at night, but during business hours, they are there sitting in their spaces. It made me feel unsettled. I don't think this is what self storage was built for. Anyway, other than that, it's been a good experience except for the constant and relentless price increases. Long term loyal customers are those who are punished the most, whereas brand new customers get the best rates.

He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, answering all my questions and making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The facility itself is very clean, well-maintained, and feels extremely safe, which gave me a lot of peace of mind when choosing a place for storage. 11-04-2025This is a nice place to storage your RV problem is they didn't tell us they don't want long term renters. They increased our monthly rate $200 in 10 months. So we have found another storage facility that is fine with long term and is cheaper
