Hard to find employees like this one! Will highly recommend anyone to this storage unit because of the amazing professionalism Chris showed us today. Customer service was superb!

11-11-2025I have storage at multiple Extra Space in the city. The guy running the Vaughn Plaza location was professional and empathetic to my situation. He got the glass and trash around my unit cleaned up as soon as I mentioned that I got a flat tire over there last week.

11-05-20252025 UPDATE - STILL 1-STAR Do you want to rent in one location but get placed at another location in the HOOD? IF SO, then this is your company!! I rented from the location on Vaughn Road. It wasnt until AFTER I SIGNED MY RENTAL CONTRACT, THAT they gave me the address for another location where my unit would be located. That address was: 3550 Gas Light Curve, Montgomery, AL 36116 Now I don't know if you know Montgomery, Alabama, very well but this is one of the HIGHEST CRIME AREAS in the city. ......and yes, my location was broken into and I lost many valuable items. It's shady for a company to do business in this manner. At the very least, it's DECEPTIVE! BE WARE! BE WARE!! ***ONE MORE THING*** If you are not aware, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU for monthly "Insurance" on your storage unit which is supposed to cover any damaged or stolen items. Truth is that it is so dificult to file a claim that I missed out on the filing window and WAS NOT reimbursed for my stolen items. ----------------------- 2022 Update My storage unit was broken in and thousands of dollars of my personal belongings were stolen and vandalized. The insurance they offered did not pay out. NOT WORTH IT!! BE WARNED that where you think you are renting may not be the location where they assign you. My assigned location was behind the gas station on the corner of Calmar Drive and Gas Light Curve. If you know Montgomery, this area has the highest crime rate in the city. When my unit was vandalized, I received no call or letter to inform me. I showed up from out of town with a Uhaul to empty my unit and could not get in. NO 24 HOUR SERVICE so it was 2 days before I could get in to my unit. THIS COMPANY AND MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO DO BETTER! ----------------------- ----------------------- Update: BE AWARE OF LATE FEES NEARLY TWICE THE AMOUNT OF YOUR MONTHLY RENT. I am 35 days late with a payment due to being in another state. Please be aware that $100 monthly rental fee after 35 days has now jumped to $374. Please be aware because if you are late, you are gonna PAY!!!!! MOST IMPORTANTLY: .......... If you are late more than 30 Days, THE CONTRACT SIGNER MUST go into a store to bring account current. They WILL NOT allow anyone else to come in and pay for the unit. I asked the manager what would happen if I had been working in another country and could not make it back to pay in person. I was nicely told that "THE UNIT WOULD GO TO AUCTION." BE WARNED!! Now with this prefaced....... THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO KNOW: They will rent you a storage unit, but DON'T tell you that you will be in a different location. I picked this unit because I wanted to be at this SPECIFIC location. After I had signed the contract and paid the $$, I was given a map to a different location. This was ALMOST UNACCEPTABLE. If I had not been on a deadline, I would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else! The service staff was extremely nice. Just know that if you rent, YOU MIGHT BE STORING AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION than you expected. In closing, please know that Uncle Bob's require insurance on the unit. It does not matter whether you want this or not. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO INSURE THE UNIT. The $80 monthly payment winds up being $104 per month. Otherwise, I have had no issues or problems.

10-30-2025Good afternoon I came in get me a storage my sister told me about Extra Space Storage I walked end Mr. Aaron Ms. Nichole both of them was very nice person it smell so good cleaning place Mr. Aaron very patient help me out I just payed 40 dollar Today everywhere was so high 80 to 100.
