05-29-2026BUYERS BEWARE!!! The price advertised and agreed upon will increase by $100 or more within 3 months with a notice being mailed to you. They will say it's in the fine print that they have the right to increase......and they do it. How about just being honest up front ??!!! Try it . They also do this exactly when the Wesleyan students move in and out on campus when all the storage spaces fill up.... So you have no other options. Cube Smart on Newfield St at least will tell you up front that you will pay less for the first three months before an increase. This is a poor business practice. I want everyone to know up front. Be AWARE AND ASK ! . Yes the facility is well maintained but if you add honesty the review would go from 2 to 5. How about negotiating with me? The response below is from the first rate increase. I'm waiting to see if second increase will be adjusted. I received a call.

Original review is below before I went back and got a larger space for a lessor amount. Now it's increased by $120 !!!! 2nd UPDATE : went back and negotiated room and price and got a much better deal and better location...... UPDATE : I was just notified that my bill will be doubled and that my original rate 3 months ago for $70 a month will now be $142 for a 10 foot by 5 foot space, kind of ridiculous.I put a call in and we will see where this goes. So from $70 a month to $142 for a 10 foot by 5 foot space ??? !!!!!! Seriously.... !!!! This previous review following might be changing VERY SOON. --------- Ive had a great experience with Extra Space Storage in Middletown, CT. The facility is exceptionally clean and very easy to access, which makes every visit quick and stress-free. One of the things I appreciate most is the strong sense of safetyhaving an attendant on site during working hours gives me real peace of mind and confidence that any issue would be handled promptly. The property is well maintained, well lit, and feels secure at all times. Parking is also abundant and conveniently laid out, making loading and unloading easy. Overall, this location has exceeded my expectations, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and safe storage facility.
