Public Storage in Berkeley is a great place to find self storage options with easy access from the Eastshore Freeway.
Sitting at the intersection of Second Street and Harrison Street, directly east of Interstate 80/Interstate 580, all of the rental units at this property are indoor storage units, some of which are also climate controlled storage units.
Grab a 5x5 storage unit to keep outdoor gear packed up season to season, from hiking boots, backpacks and extravagant kites for trips out to Cesar Chavez Park, to golf clubs and golf gear for regular outings at Tilden Park Golf Course.
Just about three miles from UC Berkeley campus and adjacent to the University Village community, a 10x10 storage unit is a great way to open things up in a cramped dorm room or tight off-campus living quarters, by storing a few boxes, a few extra chairs, spare sofa or that old coffee table close by.
Trying to get a small business off the ground along Gillman Street or San Pablo Avenue? Alleviate inevitable space issues with the help of a 10x20 storage unit to hold onto extra inventory, supplies or office furniture just minutes from the workplace.
On site, customers will also find a manager who lives at the property, as well as a rental office that sells moving supplies.
From the beauty of the bay to the thrill of the races at Golden Gate Fields, not to mention the city's abundant parks and recreation options and never-ending progressive mindset, life in Berkeley is a life like no other. Whenever space becomes an issue, call on this Public Storage for sensible storage options year after year.
Fantastic storage unit if you: 1 - want your first floor unit to flood, regularly. With no notice given to tenants after their units are underwater 2 - want to have no management or assistance on-site, ever 3 - want your phone calls during working hours to go unanswered 4 - want to have obscenely limited access hours to get into your unit (6 PM) 5 - want to not be able to get in your unit, even during these limited hours, because the main access gate breaks frequently 6 - want to have twice-yearly 20%+ rent increases
Great Service!!!
"Maria is the heart of the Public Storage at 620 Harrison street in Berkeley, California. She is professional, efficient and equally important, kind and considerate. She attends to the tenant's needs with care and kindness and in that way makes it a pleasure to visit the office every time one needs assistance. I wish other organizations had someone like Maria!" Chris behind the counter was so kind and helpful. I appreciate all that he did for me.
Maria always very helpful
Avoid this place at all costs. Not only are the elevators constantly broken, but the facility also has frequent break-ins. One of my units was broken into, and the management took zero accountability. They don't seem to care about customer security or property protection. Frankly, it wouldnt surprise me if the break-ins are being done by someone who works there that's how careless and shady the environment feels. As for customer service? Its nonexistent. Management and employees either hide inside the building or completely ignore customers. Save yourself the headache and find a storage facility that actually values your safety and belongings. This place is a complete joke.
