10 stars for the manager, Tanisha, who has been nothing but warm and welcoming from day 1. She is the kindest staff member at Extra Space that I've met in my years of experience with storage locations across the country. She even warned me about increasing rates after a few months and gave me an accurate estimate of the new rates, so I had no surprises during my time here. Last week I noticed deep grooves in the metal latch of my storage unit. I'd never noticed it before and immediately thought someone had tried to break in. It was after hours and I messaged an associate on the Extra Space website who said they would contact the manager and let them know. Today, I happened to see Tanisha walking around and mentioned the attempted break-in to her. She checked my unit and quickly explained that the grooves had been there before I moved in. They were forced to drill into the previous renter's lock and auction their belongings because the renter had abandoned the unit. I then vaguely recalled her mentioning something about this almost a year ago when I first moved in. I'm so glad she set things straight. However, I docked a star for the online associate who didn't bother to contact Tanisha. A quick voicemail or text message could have clarified everything and given me more peace of mind.
