01-03-2026Unfortunately, my experience with the manager at Extra Space Storage was extremely disappointing. During our phone conversation, the manager, who introduced himself as Richard, was rude, dismissive, and spoke in a very unprofessional manner. I was interrupted multiple times and made to feel as though my questions were an inconvenience rather than a normal part of being a potential customer. Instead of receiving helpful information or basic courtesy, I encountered an aggressive tone and a complete lack of customer service. After this interaction, I lost any desire to do business with this location, regardless of pricing or availability. This kind of behavior seriously damages trust in the company. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how customers are treated over the phone.

12-27-2025Richard, the Storage manager, deliberately attempted to mislead me during the unit rental process. The conditions he explained verbally were completely different from what appeared in the contract hidden fees, undisclosed restrictions, and additional charges that were never mentioned upfront. When I confronted Richard about these inconsistencies, he avoided direct answers, backtracked on his own words, and tried to make it seem like I was at fault for not understanding. It was clear he was relying on the customers inattention to push through unfair terms. This is dishonest and unethical behavior. Richard showed zero transparency and zero accountability. I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious or avoid dealing with him altogether.

12-03-2025I highly recommend Scotts Valley Extra Space Storage at Santa's Village Road. Friendly, helpful, efficient and very well organized site manager and team, and well maintained, dry and clean units. The site manager helped us coordinate a number of units as temporary storage over a number of months. He was especially helpful in coordinating with our moving company to ensure access to our units distributed around the site, at a time where there were two other large moves taking place. Whenever we needed some help, he was there. I can't recommend highly enough.
