11-01-2025I have rented at another Extra Space Storage location on Northwest Highway by Love Field, and gave it a five-star review. I rented at the Big Town Blvd location for 1 year. The rental price tripled from the first months rent to the last months rent. Rats are all over the place in this storage facility. I actually saw a rat cross the driveway next to my storage unit in the middle of the day-rats down usually come out in the day. The rats destroyed hundreds of dollars of my property inside the unit. The storage company requires you to have renters insurance here, so I bought their $11 monthly insurance. I filed a claim with the insurance company for rat damage. The adjuster will never call me back, and they require a ton of documentation, many, many pictures of your items the rats destroyed, and they will never call you back. I'm sure in a few months they will randomly deny my claim for some reason they make up. They know everyone here is in a bad financial place, hence you're renting a storage unit in the middle of the ghetto. My unit had no electric light inside, huge, gaping holes ripped in the metal between my unit and the adjacent units walls, and the ceiling had been torn open in many places and the tears were shoddily taped back together. I would give them zero stars if I could. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS STOAGE LOCATION. This place is garbage. You have been warned.
