Super kind folks at the Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz location.
I had had several years of great experience with extra space storage at Santa Cruz. When my roof collapsed during a storm, my first choice was extra space storage a Scotts Valley. However, the Scott's Valley extra space manager named Richard has been intimidating to work with. When he explained all these new restrictions and rules they were self-contradictory and baffling. Finally, I got my medical team to provide two letters explaining I needed accommodation under the Americans with Disability Act. When I called to confirm plans to finally set-up my storage and bring new things to storage, he added so many new restrictions that it's obvious he has no intention of complying with my ADA accommodation. Further, he expects my 82-year-old co-tenant work as quickly and lift heavy objects as if he was a young person. Richard adds new restrictions capriciously. I STRONGLY recommend against renting at this facility, especially if you disabled or elderly. If you rent due to storm damage, the restrictions won't enable you to move in in an organized manner. Follow-up. I called the number listed by the owner and it sent me to Richard (extra-space Scotts Valley review). He will not forward me to his supervisor or the district manager. I requested a call from his supervisor over two weeks ago, but I have yet to be contacted.
