I reserved a 10x20 unit needing 19ft overall length,goto check out unit it's 10x18.41'. The building might be 10x20 but the unit Is not. Called customer service on move In trying to transfer to a bigger unit but because I used promotion on first unit 2nd unit would be full price,even though its FALSE advertising.They wouldn't refund my 1st unit or let me cancel so I have this unit for 2 months and then I'll cancel. Never again will I use public storage or refer them.

Kelly the property manager is unprofessional and rude. I spoke with her yesterday after calling and going to the property Thursday to Sunday. Kelly called me a liar and talked over me the entire phone call. What am I lying about if the conversation is recorded? Kelly dont sound like she likes her job. You work in customer service your job is to diffuse misunderstanding not cause mayhem and chaos. I spoke with Chris and he told me what to do and everyday I tried to make a payment I got the run around for several days about how to pay on my past due storage unit. Google says they are open but when you get there no one answer the door or the phone. I had a good experience up until now. I will look for another company that has better communication and no anger issues. Update: If you're thinking about renting out a storage unit here DONT. I missed the month of August payment. I came in on Sept 6, and paid $213 and i told them i would come back to pay the balance when i get paid again and Kenneth was so understanding. Kenneth also told me it was a lien on my account until the balance was paid. As i said before i tried to make another payment and i had such a hard time. I paid the remainder balance of $226.50 on Sept 24 and as of today Sept 30, i went in the office and Chris was training someone and he informed that that my storage unit was sold in an auction on Sept 23. Chris was also saying something different then what he told me on the phone. I have a different storage unit at Storage of America on Fenton Rd and i got a month behind with them and i got caught up with them and they didn't sale my items. ITS THE SAME SITUATION AND BY THE WAY THEY ARE MUCH CHEAPER. The messed up thing was my whole life was in that storage unit. My mom passed away with Stage 4 cancer and i had the stuff she left behind to me in there along with my kids stuff. I'm a single mom working two jobs and I'm trying to do the best i can. I followed through with what i told them i would do and you sold my stuff within that month. All i can do is pray for Chris and Kelly, because when karma comes back around I pray that they never experience what i did. I'm not wishing nothing bad on anyone, but everyone has to reap what they sow. Storage sense has a new facility around the corner and has a 10X30 for $150 but you have to go in to get that price. At Public Storage I was paying $180 for 10X15 and they charge me for the lock i never used.

Went from $148/Mo to $263/Mo due to regular price increases in just 18 months for a 10x15 unit. Decided to no longer allow them to keep ripping me off and got the same size unit for $127.
