06-09-2026When mechanical failures happen at a business, whether things are disastrous or merely annoying depends entirely on the people who work there. Fortunately for me, Public Storage has a team member named Ashley who helped an elevator failure not become calamitous for me. I had a load of things (heavy things) on a dolly to go from my third floor unit to my car. Unfortunately the elevator stopped on the second floor--on a Sunday evening--and refused to budge. I was able to leave through emergency stairs, but my stuff was now on an unsecured cart on the second floor. I called the main number and Ashley appeared very quickly. She wasn't able to get the elevator operating (I was glad that it was not just my error), but she came back the next morning to see that my things were secured. As soon as the repair crew fixed the elevator, she moved all of my stuff into a storage room and called me with the number of the room and the combination for the lock that kept it safe. I was able to recover it on Monday evening, In any business, people like Ashley are invaluable. In one in which customers are so dependent on technology, people like her are treasures. Thank you, Public Storage, for having her on your team .
